A Night to Remember: Year 11 Prom at Gradbach Mill

A couple of weeks ago, our Year 11 pupils gathered to celebrate their journey at Leek High School with a spectacular Prom held at the stunning Gradbach Mill. The venue provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with incredibly helpful staff who made the evening truly special. We are immensely grateful to Gradbach Mill for hosting — it was an AWESOME venue that perfectly matched the excitement and spirit of the event.

Celebrating Teamwork, Leadership, and Community Spirit

Leek High's Year 11 cohort has been exemplary throughout their three years at school, consistently demonstrating outstanding behaviour and a positive attitude that reflects the Talentum Learning Trust’s core values of Aspiration, Compassion, Integrity, and Excellence for All.

Fundraising and Collaboration:
In the year leading up to Prom, the pupils worked tirelessly to fundraise, showing remarkable teamwork and dedication. Each pupil contributed in different ways. Their collective efforts enabled them to invite all staff and pupils to attend the Prom free of charge—a true testament to their commitment and generosity.
Leadership and Recognition:
We are proud to congratulate our Prom King, Fred Machin, and Prom Queen, Anna Zimmermann, whose leadership and enthusiasm helped make the event unforgettable.
Special Thanks:
A heartfelt thank you goes to Lacey-Mai Smith, who personally raised over £250 towards the Prom. Her initiative and determination are shining examples of the values we nurture at Leek High School.

As our Year 11 pupils prepare to embark on the next chapter of their education and life journeys, the experiences and skills gained through events like Prom will serve them well.
